This book was an utter disappointment. I was curious about this series after all the hype that I found about it on either tik tok or YouTube. It was a painfully cringe read, further enhanced by the Italian translation which wasn't the best ever.
Alrightie, let's start with a common problem of this type of books: they all introduce in the story different interesting themes - such as the grooming experience that Summer underwent - but they just glass over them superficially and with a resolution that's all too soon found and that is strictly linked to the love interest instead of the fmc. Naturally I don't expect a romance to talk in great details about such important themes; there's nothing back in it being just a love-centered thing with its smutty details, but aside the fact that the smut was meh at best, it was also written to be so objectifying from the mmc that it was an uncomfortable read truly. I am not against loveless sex and neither a prude but in this case it was implied they were in love and yet, it felt painfully superficial and not all that real.
I disliked the mmc and the way it was constantly implied that the fmc had to change out of her 'city girls' attitude on a vibe that reminded me of trad-wives although she ends up having her own entreprise. In all truth I doubt that I'll ever continue this series.
