I really enjoyed this one, though it took me a little while to get into it. Lots of plot twists I didn't see coming, and the pacing moves right along. The characterization is pretty good too. If I have any one real gripe, it's that there are a lot of sentence fragments, which isn't a stylistic choice I'm very fond of, and there were times when two or more of the fragments could have been combined into sentences that would have made more sense. Still, it was very entertaining and fast-paced.

Good. But, a bit overrated. (I think Netgalley is to be blamed, with those free copies). 3 is on the lower side, but 4 just didn't seem right. So 3/5 it is.

I thought it was a good read. Some things were a little expected but overall the story was fun and kept you engaged. The technical aspects was nicely explained so that readers that aren't super tech savvy could still understand what was happening and how.

Not sure why this book averages 4 stars. The writing as very basic and the plot was entirely predictable and cliche. Fine for a basic thriller but I've certainly read much better.

Full of suspense and intrigue, The Short Drop is one of those books where you don't realize you're holding your breath until you realize you haven't breathed in a hot minute. I loved the twists and turns and the ending left me (mostly) satisfied.

Well goodness. Thriller, grim, but engaging once it got going. Lots of twists and turns!
