Only a few projects appealed to me, and most were at least intermediate level, and too involved or not as pretty as other options for gifts. A nice changing pad and a few other things if you're up for the effort, though.

Hmm ... had I seen this in the store rather than online, I might not have bought it. The photos of most of the items to sew for your baby are so stylized that you have no idea what the finished product will look like (like the little boy's hat). There are also very few how-to diagrams to go along with the print instructions. I definitely want to makes some things from the book like the baby bedding, diaper bag, and some of the clothes, but I have a feeling I'm going to be tearing my hair out trying to figure out the instructions. We'll see.

This looks like a great book to add to my sewing shelf. Of course, Amy Butler has fantastic style and there are many adorable ideas here. I like how she classifies each project by sewing difficulty -- I hate to get into a project and then realize I don't yet have the skills to complete it properly!

This book is really sweet, and I'm going to need to buy a copy soon if my friends keep getting knocked up and/or if I have any hope of making cute clothes when we have kids.
