Can’t wait to read more

I wanted to read a catwoman arc written by a woman and this was satisfying and the art was great!

Joelle Jones is just fabulous. She tells an engaging story. Her illustrations are divine. I loved Lady Killer and subscribed to DCUI simply so I could read this (ok and Bombshells) and I am not disappointed.

The art, as is usually the case with Jones, is exquisite, but the title doesn't make much sense when the so-called "copycats" are only used once and are a small part of the plot.

For timeline purposes, this graphic novel takes place after the events of Batman Vol 7 the Wedding. Catwoman is in a new city, where she has a lot of imitators getting her into trouble. Where the corrupt wife of the governor is going to be a new powerful enemy that will shake up her plans for the future. I enjoyed the story line, although it somewhat reminded me of the Halle Berry Catwoman movie with Sharon Stone. Even the graphics seem to hearken back to that title. But not in a truly bad way. But the lines are there. I do want to see what happens in the next issues so that is a good thing.
