🎧: 5/5 - Isabella Clarke did a fabulous job giving every character life!
🌶️: 5/5 - the amount of spice!! The types of spice!! The amount of partners!! Phew girl.

I picked up this read because people said it's one of the spiciest books they could recommend and it has monsters!! So I had to know.

They weren't lying, phew, it starts off with some spice in the prologue alone! Not anything super spicy in that first prologue but none the less, it starts spicy!

I only saw someone mention a vampire so I thought it was just a vampire smutty book, which, I guess vampires are monsterssss, but I was surprised, there is so much more than that! She has 5 (6?) partners -
dr. jekyll/mr. hyde, a golem, an invisible man, a vampire, and a sphinx.

While I do wish there had been a bit more variety in the monsters she partnered with after there being a mention of a water wraith and werewolf at some points, the overall quality of the spice was great.

Kathryn did a fabulous job giving each character a personality that followed into their bedroom dynamics. Each spicy scene felt different from the other in a great way and overall was so fun to read.

This book ended up being so much more wholesome than I expected. A lot of boundary respecting, connecting, and fun.

I loved that there was a share dynamic between all of them while also some of the partners sharing in each other as well.

I adore that Esther was really allowed to explore herself and set her own expectations and boundaries and it was so respected. Mags was so protective of her girls and truly did what she could to make them feel safe and at home.

This was genuinely just such a fantastic read and experience. I'll definitely have to check out the other novels in this series and Moon's general catalogue.

Wow, just wow.

I openly admit I am very picky when it comes to my RH reads. So many are purely a grab for quick sales. Kathryn Moon has just become my go-to author for RH.

This story was so unexpected in so many good ways! MFC embraced her sexuality in such a beautiful yet steamy way and, while I would have liked to see more character development from her personally, I liked her. She had this innocence without being naive. A gentle femininity that just leaped from the pages.

The MMCs were so utterly distinguishable, I felt like I could reach out and touch them. How they met our MFC was also written so naturally, nothing felt forced. They were all believable.

Overall, her combination of monster-esque characters with a fun twist on mythology and folklore, and the huge splash of a gothic atmosphere, had me utterly hooked.

Highly recommend this series! (Way to go Kathryn!)
