Even tho the whole series was like 1300 pages I really enjoyed taking my time and experiencing this world. My only issue is lies with the redundant repetition. Probably added like 300 pages.

i can’t find the words to describe this book and this trilogy in general. Murakami created a world so beautifully written that you fell like you’re living with Tengo and Aomame in every small thing they do: i could feel Aomame’s anxiety for his baby and Tengo’s frustration because he couldn’t find that girl in his class with whom held hands. Their love story is amazing too: it’s not just a superficial love that you can see everywhere, it’s something deeper and almost philosophical, described by murakami’s idyllic style. The antagonists are as well-written as the main characters: you can see and share all of Ushiwaka’s sorrow and its struggle for his bad look, but you can also understand sakigake’s desire for the little people. Saying that i enjoyed this series it’s a euphemism: a masterpiece from Haruki Murakami.

Disappointing and confusing. I’m not sure what really happened in 450 pages. The plot was only able to move forward because answers ~ magically ~ came to the characters.

Overall the series was good but I was a bit disappointed with the ending although Murakami has left it open for more in the series!
