Avatar: book one may not be perfect, but it does an admirable job of capturing the tv show characters in written form. A welcome return to DS9.

Great characterization of existing characters and great introduction of new ones. Interesting interpersonal dynamics. Intriguing setup for dramatic plot! I'm eager to read book #2.

The "relaunch" of the DS9 series post the airing of the finale on television, this is part one of the "Avatar" duet. The relaunch is phenom, with strong continuation of characterization (especially Ezri Dax and the inclusion of Ro Laren).

Nab these.
