Favorite!

Not sure I can explain why, but this book is on of my favorite in the series. I'm rereading the series right now and I was feeling the same as last time. I just love Lexi and Slash.

Students are breaking into the school computer system & making changes that could get out of hand. A private gifted academy has hired X-Corp to find the student hackers. Lexi begrudgingly goes undercover as a student to infiltrate the group. While in school, nightmares are revisited and she makes friends with the computer crowd while maintaining her new relationship with Slash. A nefarious teacher and questionable students has Lexi scouring the systems & stumbling upon something she's never seen before. As she investigates she enlists 1/2 of the Zimmerman twins (Elvis) to help. As they are working, the school is taken hostage & the threat is real. Life & death holds in the balance and Lexi & Elvis have to use all of their skills & wit to figure what's going on.

This book was fine. There was nothing OMG AMAZING about it, but it held my interest. If my library had the rest of the books in the series (it doesn’t) I would read them, but I wouldn’t spend money to buy them. Especially since there are so many!

This was a book I won from a Goodreads giveaway some time back.

I <3 Lexi Carmichael. This was the first book I've read in this series and now I want to go back and read from the beginning. Not that I was lost or anything but because I liked it that much. Lexi is smart and socially awkward. She is good at her job. She gets into dangerous situations (according to her boyfriend, trouble follows her like a stalker). She finds her way out with her brains and quick thinking. In this book Lexi goes undercover at a high school (apparently she looks young) and isn't all that excited about it. Danger ensues. I just loved this book.

This is the book where Lexi and Slash meet Angel Sinclair and friends. Be sure to read it and follow up with the awesome spin-off White Knights series. It’s excellent too!

Another great book in the series. This one was filled with suspense. It was great. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the love interest stuff.

I feel in love with this series early on first because Lexi was so brilliant and nerdy. I have loved all the characters that have been added and the interplay between them all. Its great to see all of them evolve with their experiences. I did think that No Biz Like Showbiz was a little weak but this latest one is one action packed ride as well as some very interesting new characters and full of some very emotional situations for all involved. I immediately preordered the next one and was thrilled to find that author is already got three more books in the planning. I certainly hope it goes beyond there as I am no where near ready to let go of these people.

I love the Lexi Carmichael-series. I really really do. And - unfortunately - the last book was not a 5-star for me. So I was a bit worried. NO NEED HOWEVER. I have read this book just now and could not put it down. It was amazing and I will not easily give a 5 star review.

Lexi is in a relationship with Slash now and I adore them together. Lexi is going on another assignment, as a high school girl with blonde hair and a school uniform (mmm, Slash loves it) but trouble is never far away. The adventure explodes and keeps up the whole book. So much was happening and it was scary at times.

Elvis plays an essential role in the book. I do like Elvis a lot, but I love Lexi and Slash together so I really hope the author will not change the dynamics.

I was waiting for this book and have read in in a few hours. And now I have to wait for months for another Lexi book. This might be my favorite one to date, really it is that good. Kudos to Julie Moffett.
