Only read the last short story- auroras. Loved his writing and description and imagery but decided not to read the whole book of short stories bc had other books waiting

Meh. Writing was very nice (as in, really really good, and a pleasure to read), and I thought it'd give it four stars when I finished it, but, reflecting, none of the stories were particularly memorable, and somehow that makes them less to me.

I listened to 3 stories and you can tell they were written by a man(derogatory). Why waste my time?

Different voice entirely.  The manner of writing was unique.  The viewpoint and setting were uncommon and I enjoyed majority of the stories even when they made me sad.

Loved these little vignettes and the playful take on history, culture, and familial/small town relationships. As a Latina-American, definitely resonated.
