This book was honestly pretty mediocre.... until the last 200 pages.
Spoiler The prison sequence was really dark but also really good. And then the last fight, omg. Like come on Hudson just a fucking badass there. And the thing Nuri does?! And the last sentence of the book?! But I think it's a bit unnecessary that Luca died, like come on you don't have to kill of a random side character in every book...

I still don't really love Grace tho. And the book was a bit to long, she probably could've done this 500 pages without much of the plot missing.

No me lo pedirías porque pensabas que no te elegiría a ti. Pero lo haría. Te elegiría a ti, Hudson.

Hello. Did you enjoy this book? Great. Allow me to ruin it for you by pointing out the most amazing writing that you will ever find in any book that you will ever read in your whole entire life...

He is staring at me with the most bemused look on his face that I have ever seen.

• He looks more defeated than I have ever seen him.

• The look on her face is more pained than I have ever seen it.

• In front of me is the most beautiful grouping of sequoia redwoods I have ever seen.

• And the most suspicious blue eyes I have ever run across.

• The most mind-bending thing I have ever seen in a year of mind-bending things.

• You're the most incredible person I have ever met

• I met two of the most attractive, contrary, difficult vampires in the entire world. Probably even the universe.

• It’s the most Hudson response ever to what may be the most depressing book ever written.

• Hudson really is the most sarcastically unapologetic vampire I’ve ever met.

• …we’d end up at home making the most fantastic birthday cake we could find.

• It’s one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.

• …turn to see one of the most gorgeous girls I have ever seen walking toward us.

• It’s totally his ‘Isn’t Flint the most adorable thing in the entire world’ look

• Surrounded by my friends and the most magical trees in existence, is the most fun I’ve had in a very long time.

• It’s the most fantastic thing I’ve ever seen.

• Jewelry from this tree is the most sought-after in the whole world.

• The panic from his face is the most emotion I’ve seen from him in days.

• She’s super talented and can do the most amazing things with any metal she touches.

• It’s one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

• But the staircase isn’t even the most interesting or magnificent part of the tree.

• My mother says the Vampire court used to throw the most beautiful balls.

• ….and the most beautiful view of a mountain lake I have ever seen.

• And then he reaches over and drops the most gorgeous, flawless diamond I have ever seen right into my hand.

• She used to keep the most amazing cookies in her desk just for Damien and me-“

• It’s the most bizarre thing she could possibly have said in this moment…

• …and stares at me with the most bizarre look that I’ve ever seen on his face.

• I go running out of the bathroom to stare slack-jawed as rack after rack of the most beautiful ball gowns I’ve ever seen are rolled into my room.

• I say in the most nonchalant tone I can manage.

• …stuff ourselves on a wide variety of fancy appetizers that are served family-style on the table, followed by the most beautiful salad I’ve ever seen.

• It’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a dance floor in my life…

• …and the most amazing fireworks display I’ve ever seen in my life.

• It’s the most incredible show I’ve ever seen.

• Only the most kick-ass boutique motorcycle in the world….Titanium chassis, carbon fiber wheels, the most gorgeous custom paintwork in the business…

• Eden comes in carrying a bag of the most amazing-smelling food ever.

• And not just New York City but one of the most iconic parts of the city…

• It’s gorgeous-some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard…

• They’re the most highly trained dragons in the world….

• The flowers release the most heavenly scent into the room.

• It seemed inappropriate to disturb you during the most important dragon holiday of the year.

• Because it’s the most beautiful tattoo I’ve ever seen.

• It’s not the most open invitation I’ve ever heard…

• His face is crisscrossed from forehead to chin with the most brutal scars I have ever seen.

• As we turn down another corner and get hit by the most amazing smell.

• It’s the most backhanded compliment I’ve ever received.

• And it’s aftermath are truly the most horrible things I’ve ever witnessed.

• Your face was the most priceless thing I’ve ever seen.

And finally, one of my personal favorites:

…but it’s still one of the most awful things that has ever happened to me. Maybe even the most awful…

That's not all of it, but some of the most important and impactful lines you'll ever see. I hope you too will cringe when you see it, or flinch when you hear it.

*4.5 stars*
I may be a bit biased because I am obsessed with this series but this book took me on an ADVENTURE. It built me up and knocked me down so hard just to drag me to my feet again.
The plot line, the romance, the battles and struggles it was all so absorbing. This world is so encompassing I feel like im there and found myself (on more than one occasion) yelling at the characters as if they could hear me. And trust me, I wish they could’ve at some points.
The main reason this book wasn’t fully 5 stars was because most of the action was within the last 250 pages of the book which leaves 600 other pages to build up. Luckily the build up wasn’t “boring” or seen as filler in the time of reading it but when you look at the overall book it’s definitely seen as that. Again, I love the story and the characters so I was okay with it along with the story building just because it makes the plot feel more real and complete.
Overall this book, and series, continues to be at the top of my list and im still wanting more. I can’t wait to dive into the next book but I am SCARED for these characters. Literally scared to continue reading because I don’t want anything to happen to them but I need to know!

Not my favorite out of the series. I read about a 3rd of the book and started falling asleep. Switched to audio book and was a lot better. Not sure if I liked the voice for Grace as much as I had in my head for the first two books. But I kind of got over it. I have the second. So I'm going to try to fully read that one. Will see. Lol. Over all Not a bad book at all. Just didn't have the hook I feel like the first two had.

Wayyy better than the first 2 books! Heard it on audible and once Again, dint care much about the storyline until the very end.

Can we have hudson speaking in that voice for the entire book? Waiting for that voice until the very end is excruciating!! But so damn worth it!

This book was a little more action packed and streamlined. That stupid love triangle wasnt as annoying.. but dont effing tell me that we are going to have a love quandrant now! Like seriously thats just stupid!

Also do all the wolves in this book have to be so helpless and sort of cursed? Or does the author not like them enough to have them stay alive for long?

Ps. That tirade of Hudsons in the arena at the prison! Wow. He gave it to her damn straight! Loved that monologue! You go Hudson!!! Keep it coming! About time somebody calls her out on her idiocy!

Ok, so i think now this book has potential to be rated a wholesome series. Keep going author! The gaps between the books is pretty great. 2 books a year is commendable
