To start there are major triggers in this book: rape, body dysmorphia, mass/school shooting, gore, death, underage drinking
Ani has the perfect life. She has the perfect job, the perfect fiancé, and the perfect body. She works hard to keep up appearances, but what a lot of her current circle doesn’t know is she has a dark past.
Ani went to an influential high school and with money comes power, kid who take advantage of that power, and hidden crimes. Those hidden crimes have devastating consequences.
When everything finally comes out and the truth is revealed, will Ani lose everything or will she finally be free from her need to be perfect?
This was a great read, for someone who doesn’t have any issues with major triggers. The main reason I gave this 4 stars was because of the lack of a trigger warning for such horrific scenarios. I read this book because @netflix made it look interesting, but they too show nothing that indicate how dark this gets and they do not include trigger warnings.
