Quick and easy read with some cute storylines and obvious ways to extend the series, but some parts were choppy for me and I'll let this be my "happy ever after" with this series.

I loved the concept of this book and I really wanted to love this book...but unfortunately it was a DNF for me. I didn't feel the spark between the main characters and I couldn't get sucked into the world that the author set up.

3.75 stars! This was cute and fun and a bit of a palette cleanser in between fantasy novels. Although it did have its own magic (a bit of season one, not quite as dark Once Upon a Time vibes) it was fluffy romance at its heart. Not terribly well written but I was willing to sacrifice that for the fluff

Sexual innuendos hinted that more was to come.

Note: I received my copy of this book from a Goodreads giveaway.

This book is a very charming, and at times saccharine sweet, take on the world of fairy tales. I loved the nod to many different stories throughout the book. I identified with Lucky's sweet stress eating and appreciated how the godmothers solved everything with ice cream sodas. DeWylde created a world abound with characters but I never felt myself fully committed to the story. It just may have been too "cute" for me. However, I know people that this story would be perfect for and would recommended to those who want some PG-13 Hallmark with a side of Grimms'.

Thank you Goodreads and Kensington Books for the opportunity to read!

The idea is cute -- fairy godmothers setting people up. I thought it was gonna be an enemies to lovers situation (and I might read the second one, in hopes that one will deliver). I chose to read it, so I was willing to buy in, but it was even sillier than I'd expected.
