I need to give this book a shout out! Historical Regency Romance and the heroine is Filipina-American (romanced by the roguish/rake-ish Duke) set in London. Color me shocked! I read a lot of regency romance (aka smut novels) and this is definitely a first. Witty novel that delivers on the love.

In case it matters for what subjects you like to read in historical romance: Alexandra is a governess by circumstance here (loses her tools/equipment for her job and needs a way to make money quickly). Daisy and Rosamund are very endearing and bring a lot of fun to the story. The love story between Alex and Chase is kind of angst-filled and less fun, swoony romantic.

Goes a little wobbly in the third act but over all charming.

Year 1817. I liked all the characters especially Daisy and her doll. I love Tessa Dare’s writing!
