First off, the audiobook was great. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for giving me a copy of the audiobook for review.

So why the low rating? While Faridah is very good at creating believable characters, I think I was expecting something else from this story and it's not my cup of tea. I'm not a fan of catty school drama type stories and this is what this is. However, I know there are plenty of people who would love this book so I will definately recommend it to them.

Ace of Spades tells the story of so many American Americans in the United States. The education and justice system have been designed to go against and minimize the community. And this book highlights the deep rooted racism in America, and it shows how scary and dangerous it is.
