I really wish there was an updated; post- pandemic, gender-neutral bathroom, Trump era, promotion of trans rights... version that incorporated greater recognition of intersectionality. I loved the contents of this book, but feel like there could be a broader focus on any data bias in the context of non, cishet white-male identit(ies). At points it felt a lot like a pure lit-review, but was informative nonetheless. A great and important read!

A shocking, sad book. Really covers a breadth of issues facing women today. The breadth is so vast that sometimes coherency is sacrificed to cram in loosely related facts and figures. It is, however, wonderfully researched and an informative read.

Truly proud of myself for taking the time to really dig into this book, as I'm walking with this incredible depth of knowledge about all of the pervasive and unrecognized ways the female population is discriminated against at every level of our lives. And how so much of it is the result of failing to ask women any questions. From prescription drugs to low income housing to disaster relief, this book is an absolute must read. I particularly appreciated how the author made space to talk about countries other than the US and UK, making this a global perspective on discrimination and gender gaps rather than a white European one.
