I hate these typr of characters who are "social deviant mass murderer for fun" it's unrealistic and off putting.

This one was pretty good, although admittedly it wasn’t as great as the others. This volume focused much more on side characters, which was okay, but not as interesting as the main cast. I’m also just not very invested in The War in the Baltic arc at all really. I think it’s interesting and it does have some decent development opportunities for Thorfinn (forcing him to fight and all), but other than that I didn’t really care.
Some of the side character stories were pretty good, though. The dynamic between Floki and Baldr was great, but underutilized. Seeing more of Thorkell was fun, but it got a little old after a while. And the development of Sigurd and his friends is really good, if a small part of the story. Sigurd learning that he can lean on his friends is great, and everyone meeting up at the end was fantastic.
Overall, it was a little too much battle and a little too few character moments. Still good, but not as strong as the previous arcs.
