Spoiler
I did feel the flashbacks were irritating for me, jumping back and forth for very little information. I liked that Des and Callie were close until I reflected on the grooming vibe of a underage victim or abuse. Nope… for me.
I also found the FMC a bit whiny at times but I still enjoyed here the other 50% of the time when she was acting like an adult. The side characters felt so one dimensional and the reasoning for things didn’t feel like ACTUAL REASONS!
The spice was a good 3🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 but as the story continued,
this book was not a story I will revisit or finish the series.

Jesus what a good book. It makes me want to recommend it to anyone who enjoyed ACOTAR. It has supernaturals, a couple of courts, bad boys, wings, a bit of spice.. ugh
Sure, the characters are problematic but did that stop me? ofc not, i really ate this up
As the first book in a trilogy I feel like It sets up the next book really well while still having a plot to enjoy.
I wish we could've had a bit more worlbuilding on Desmonds side of the world, but I also guess we'll get it in the second book..?
Over-all I really enjoyed it so so much. Will be reading the next one ASAP

Did not like the pet name cherub. Kinda gross considering she was 16 when they first met and ‘fell in love’. Felt like the ending was rushed and didn’t really make a lot of sense so I’m hoping the next book has more about it.
I liked the world building and their flirty relationship with each other. Can’t wait to read the next book and hopefully get some more insight into the cool new world

Rhapsodic was predictable, it truly was. Also it was kind of vague with its explanations.
But at the end of the day, it has good pacing and I devoured it in less than a day.
The past story between both of the protagonists was making me mad at times. Every time the girl asked for a bargain I wished I was there to tell her “girl, please stop”.
The present story was alright, basic, but alright. I felt like I had read it before.
The autor does a great job at using back and fourth between timelines and it makes the relationship between them interesting. I liked the way the sexual tension was build up.
The problematic was weak and it was resolved with an even weaker explanations.
I know I sound like a hater, but none of what I mentioned change my experience with the book. As I said before, I devoured it and enjoyed it.
I liked that our main girl was a siren, I thought she had cool powers and was a badass at her job.
Sadly I’m not motivated enough to follow the series.
The spice is good tho, those are extra points.
Read you all later.
