I really enjoyed reading this book A LOT! I loved the dual POV and the time stamps for each chapter. I also really liked how there were chapters sprinkled in where we didn’t know who’s POV it was, we could only speculate.

While I liked reading the book, I wasn’t obsessed with the ending. When I was reading I was trying to figure out the big twist, and I feel like my prediction would’ve been a better story line. But I really didn’t see all the smaller tiny twists that seemed to happen each chapter and that’s why I loved reading it!

This was a really good one by Alice Feeney and she has slayed me once again!

More graphic than expected, and too much focus on some of things mentioned in the content warnings. This book is trigger warning central, it's a lot. Surprised me here and there, but not her best.

I am truly shocked. My jaw is on the ground. I had no idea what was happening until the very end. One of the twistiest thrillers I’ve ever read. WOW. Go off, Alice Feeney.

extremely graphic and disturbing, which did make me feel very uncomfortable at times. after a bit of a slow start, i started to get super invested in the story and had no idea where it was going. i thought that the main plot twist was really shocking, however i think that there were quite a few loose ends or forgotten plot points that weren’t addressed (for example
Spoilerthe semen found at the scene, priya’s whole role in it - and why she knew where to find jack after he went to the cottage and why she kept asking questions about anna, the friendship bracelets etc.
), and there was something about the whole reveal that just felt a bit off, and like the author was trying a bit too hard to make it shocking that it didn’t even make that much sense. despite this, it was super intense, and i really liked the build up towards all the reveals

I ended up being more into this than I thought I'd be. I surprised myself. It has you guessing literally from the first to the last page. It is a gripping murder mystery with a full cast (and a ton of triggers, please be vigilant about them). I had previously read Rock Paper Scissors and it wasn't for me, but this book was going through my the traveling bookclub I run in my discord group and I am glad I ended up with it because I don't know that I would have gone with this author again otherwise. this is a fun weekend thriller read. Vigilant moment for sure. Solid 3.5.
