I was honestly pretty disappointed by this book compared to other books I have read by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I think a large part of the issue was that I was expecting one story or at least interconnecting stories. Instead, although many similarities existed between characters, the stories themselves never overlapped. That being said, Adichie still tells each story beautifully and creates very deep characters and strong scenes in only a short story. I just wish a few of the short stories could have been extended into a book of overlapping stories instead.

Read for uni, not out of choice. As always, trans rights are human rights.

Read 40%. This is listed as a novel, but appears to be disparate short stories? I enjoyed some chapters much more than others, probably just a mismatch in my reading temperament at the moment.
