Absolutely loved this. Just as good as Mythos. Accessible mythology with no prentitiousness whatsoever.

an endearing, deeply informative and riveting retelling of some of the best ancient greek myths. i loved the footnotes and the background information, and fry occasionally taking creative license with each story adds colour and dimensions to the stories that black-and-white recountings or translations do not. the genealogical sections were at times hard to follow but fry does make it about as clear as possible! really really enjoyed this. 4 stars

Another absolute masterpiece following the first book of the series. I would dare say that this is a perfect sequel! Stephen Fry proves once again that he is master at storytelling and you can feel the passion he has for this subject in every written line. It's a real joy to read and I can recommend it to anyone, no matter if you have prior knowledge of greek mythology or not.

I will definitely go back and listen to this again. I went with the audio book and it had all the comfort of curling up with a hot chocolate and being read to, while bringing all those old stories to life.

listening to the audiobook definitely helped me with enjoyment because it is a lot to take in, good follow up to mythos and provides an as solid as possible introduction and timeline of the age of heroes.
