I would give these -100 stars if I could. Literally one of the worst books I have ever read. I was so tempted not to finish it. The two main characters were so annoying and pathetic. I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at how cringe-y they were. Wording was questionable at best and creepy at its worst. Somehow the author thought pet names were cute or romantic but they were just creepy. Characters couldn't decide if they were strong or weak, innocent or sexy. Also very pretentious.

I read this at 24 and I was just so over it. I wonder if my 15 year old self would have fallen for this crap. That possibility makes me gag.

DNF :(
Lot's of my friends have read and loved this but I just couldn't.
Julia...don't get me started...she drove me nuts!
Gabriel....meh!
Overall story seemed like it may be OK but I disliked the characters so much that I just couldn't force myself to keep reading.
I don't give stars to books I haven't even got to 50% on because I just don't think it's fair to lower a books overall rating if I haven't managed to get at least that far as who knows it may well have gotten better. I just couldn't get there when I knew I had better books sitting on my kindle begging to be read :)

This book right here evoked feelings from me that I have never felt while reading a book... it has taken me about 3 days to construct a review that portrays my true feelings about this book. The ending left me speechless, and Sylvain Reynard has now become one of my favorite Authors.

Julia is a college student with a passion for Dante/Dante's Inferno and is studying to become a "Dante Specialist". She is admitted to Harvard but doesn't have the money to go so she settles for going to the University of Toronto where she meets Professor Emerson. During the lectures the Professor is very rude and disrespectful to Julia and treats her as if she were stupid, but there is more to the bigger picture than what meets the eye. Professor Emerson, better known as Gabriel doesn't realize that Julia is his sister's best friend from High School, and that they shared a special "Moment" together years ago in the orchard.

Gabriel is a Dante Specialist and a Professor. He walks around with heavy burdens and demons from his past and didn't think that redemption was possible until he REALLY meets Julia. Although he doesn't remember that night from years ago he knows that there is "something" there. Gabriel has a very hot temper and sometimes looses control of it, he had a very bad past which has made him this way but I won't spoil it for you! You will have to read to find out about it yourself, and trust me it is definitely an adventure you want to take.

The development between Gabriel and Julia is mindblowing and it is created with so much depth. Reynard constructed a very complex relationship and still made you understand and hunger for more. I'm getting goosebumps just typing this review. So, you know what that means right?? GO READ IT! IF you are a fan of Bared to You, definitely pick this up and drop whatever book you are reading now.

I am just now starting Gabriel's Rapture and I know it's going to be phenomenal without a shadow of a doubt.

I received this book from the publisher (Omnific Publishing) for an honest review.

This was not what I was expecting. I'd like the publisher to fire the person who wrote the teaser on the back cover and whoever designed the front cover. WTF. I think I may have liked the book and characters if I hadn't thought I was getting what was advertised.
