This is the third book I’ve read by Megan Miranda and I have to say it’s not my favorite. I think The Last House Guest had a lot of promise and it just didn’t deliver. I got lost in all the back and forth between the past and present. I definitely like All The Missing Girls and The Perfect Stranger better.

A little verbose and repetitive.

This is the first book I’ve ever read that I could not put down. Such a great read. If you like OBX on Netflix, this is your book

This was just okay for me. It was just kinda MEH. I didn't feel like the characters were fleshed out enough nor the whole mystery. I wanted to love it but it fell way short.

I read this book in one sitting, which is something I normally do with any Megan Miranda book!

She definitely keeps you guessing until the end and I’ve never been able to spoil it for myself.

I’m partial to summer seaside town stories, so this one was right up my alley and I found it truly excellent!

This book was like… okay? It was hard to get into a first since it moved relatively slowly. The ending was less shocking and more just “oh i guess.” idk how else to describe it besides “eh.” I do wish the ending had a bit more substance to it. Glad Avery had her girlboss moment though!
