A promising start to a Urban Fantasy series. I like Mercy and the secondary characters (although I wasn't a huge fan of Sam. At least I think his name is Sam... tells you what an impression he made on me). I'll definitely read the second in the series.

I good story, though I found the final resolution of the main plot to be a bit convoluted. I like the world and characters enough that I am interested in reading the rest of the series. Im especially interested in how much the paranormal romance angle is played up in future books since it felt like an afterthought here.
