Cute but basic. Highly predictable, pretty flat characters. Fun read but wouldn’t necessarily recommend, even if you’re just looking for a light read.

This book goes back and forth with Phronsie’s childhood to the present. This was a very quick read. Her best friend since Kindergarten proposes to her since they are mid 30s and tired of the online dating scene. She and her twin was conceived at Woodstock and her mom remained a hippy, while her dad moved back to his farm and married the small town girl.

The storylines didn’t mesh up well for me. Her mother who she barely ever saw, was all about love. Her stepmom was about practicality.

This was a book about different types of love. Will Phronsie go through with the wedding to her best friend? Read it and find out

Amusing romantic comedy - wanted to love it more though. Well written! Gnomes, snow hurricanes, Woodstock and signs from the universe.

The story was good, but I had to drag myself to read this. It just did not hold my interest very long. I'm not sure why, there was no particularly bad thing about it, I just could not keep reading it for very long at a time before something else was more interesting to me. Perhaps I'm too much of a romantic, and didn't like the concept of two people deciding to get married because they are ready to just settle.

I really liked this but felt like the ending was rushed. Dawson tied up the important plot points, but there were things I wondered about. Like Chloe - I expected to hear from her because she was 23 or 24 in current time. And Hendrix seemed to be a bit of a throw-away.

Also, the magical realism was really, really light. I guess I prefer that to some of the heavy-handed magical realism I've read, but I thought Dawson could've done a bit more with it.

I loved the relationship between Phronsie and Judd. It reminded me of my own pack that I had made with my high school best friend! I did think the storyline was a little dull. It was overall an okay read

It would be nice to be able to give half stars. 3.5. This book was good and it kept me reading and wanting more, but was also just…ok. I cried a few times during the childhood parts because kids with hurt hearts just guts me. All in all, a quick decent beach read but unsatisfying on a few levels.
