While the story of [b:Drummer Boy of John John|14342594|Drummer Boy of John John|Mark Greenwood|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1355091066s/14342594.jpg|19984506] didn't intrigue me very much, the illustrations were fascinating. I loved the addition of the "sound words" used to describe he different sounds the instruments made. I especially appreciated when sounds were represented with artistic symbols, such as squiggly lines, to mimic the paths sounds took on their way to the ears of people. Music fans will enjoy this one.
