The yellow wallpaper is a frustrating and saddening look into the mistreatment of women and mental health by men who think they know better. Whilst sympathising with the narrator and the way she is treat by those around her we watch her descent into madness. Written from her point of view she presents her delusions as facts; Secrets which she will only share with you. Knowing this was all preventable given the proper care you slowly come to terms, just as she does, that she has been freed from her imprisonment in the most unfortunate way.
