I saw a TikTok that said this book made them drop out of school and get sectioned in a psych ward - I think this tells you everything you may need to know. Avoid if you experience depressive moods as this may trigger you like nothing else before.

Beautifully written. I learned an entirely new vocabulary from Wurtzel’s intricate writing style. The way she writes about depression is almost beyond words. She makes a very individualized experience seem relatable in a sense. However, this book was redundant and could have been shortened to less than 300 pages.
