This book is not quite as smooth as the other books in the series. I feel as though the girls in this book are determined to sabotage their own happiness. Whenever something goes well in their lives they seem determined to ruin it(i.e. as soon as Emily's parents accept Maya, she doesn't like Maya anymore). That's why it's hard for the reader to feel sympathy for them. I was actually a little sad when Mona died because I was sort of rooting for 'A' to ruin their lives.

I’m so shocked right now I don’t even know how to think or what to think.. like what? That’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever read but so good and I just can’t even. Also how is the series not over? Did she have someone working with her? I just don’t get it but I will definitely be continuing the series cause why not

One mystery solved. Who knows how many more to go. I don't yet know what I don't know!

I think this may be my favourite in the series so far! all the girls had character growth, and each of their storylines were interesting in their own ways. I do wish the book had explored Emily being sent away a little more, it felt like it was done and dusted very quickly when it had a lot of potential to be a bigger storyline!
This was also the first book since PLL that you could see where the show got some inspiration. Hanna’s accident, the masquerade ball, and the A reveal were all definitely used as loose inspiration for scenes in the show, so it was cool to see how they contrasted!

Looking forward to reading the next one in the series!
