I guess this is perfect for people who were in their 20ies during the 1990ies. I was just born in this decade and hardly knew the music mentioned in this book, but the story is still great and it's really delightful to read.

Erg meeslepend.

I loved learning about Rob and Renee's short-lived love story through music, from how they initially bonded and how music shaped their experiences as a couple. Just like Renee's death in real life, it comes suddenly and abruptly in the book, making it all the more heartbreaking.

It feels a little strange to rate a memoir. It is events in someone's life after all. I wanted to love this book. I went so far as to go to Spotify and see if there was a playlist based on the book and yes there are a couple. And I may be listeningy way through it.

I grew up in the age of the mix tape and then graduated to burning CDs. Maybe it's his writing style but I found that the book didn't hold my attention. This is a book I should have finished in a couple of days. Yet I kept putting it down to do something else. I even started another book. I was completely turned off by him at the end when he mentioned giving his wife's dog away. I don't trust you if you don't like dogs.

I felt more emotion about finally finishing the book then I did about the story itself.

Very sad. A lot of it went over to head because I didn't get the references. But the ones that I did. Hit really hard
