Technically, I haven't read ALL of this book, but my husband read large swaths of it to me during a recent road trip, and I'm going to count that.
This is a great book to give to a grumpy old man in your life, because they'll think it's just the history of The Boss™, then Bruce hits you with stuff like "here's how talk therapy and mental health medication helped me" or "I had to unlearn a lot of misogynistic habits from my youth".

Moderate: Death, Drug abuse, Drug use, and Mental illness

One of the best autobiographies I read in a while. I listened to this book on audible and it was made even better with Bruce Springsteen doing the narration. I love his description of the creative process and his life along the way as he climbed to the top of the music world. If you like biographies and are interested in how people got to where they are I highly recommend this book!

Ok. Kinda episodic. happy to lend to any Silver Springers who want to borrow it

I already loved Bruce because of his music. After listening to this, I love him more because of his emotion, his vulnerability, his beliefs. This book took him from just one of the musicians I’ve loved because of my father, to a person I admire because of themselves.

This a deep look into Bruce's life and career, he took his time writing it and the attention to detail is the result. I found it to be a good review of his career.
