Oh my god. This book started out good. There was some action, some dialogue! And then we got thrust back into the past read about the girls going to lectures and studying. So interesting. So after the second try at reading this book. I'm putting it back down...

Awful. Read as audiobook on the recommendation of a friend.
It's like DaVinci Code with angels.

This is a well-turned suspense thriller, but not entirely "my thing."

I was disappointed by this book. There was no real ending and there really was little character development. I listened to this as an audiobook so it took me a long time to listen to, it was nearly 20 hours long and took me nearly 4 months to really listen to it. I got really into it as the story of different characters was told. I should have realized something was amiss when a key adversary died and there was hardly any mention of it.

I was able to predict some of the key points as they unfolded and while it was interesting the idea of a war between those who study angels and the "nephilim" I don't think I'll be reading anymore books by Trussoni.

The action in this book was frustratingly predictable. Maybe that's why it took months of reading to actually finish. Well I told myself to sit down and finish it today. I don't think I'll be reading this author again. I should have enjoyed this familiar artifact/research driven story more than I did.

I would like the hours back that I spent reading this book. Although occasionally entertaining along the way, the ending was completely unsatisfying and the reader never really learns anything specific about the powers or intentions of these creatures. I enjoyed the fact that Riverside Church was featured toward the end. More than that...yuck.
