I think this is a really good book and I did learn some new facts and ways of thinking about some things from it. The information is interesting and the way the book is structured helps make it digestible. However it just never grabbed me, I was never hooked or surprised. I'm not sure why, it just didn't hit for me. Still glad I listened to it though.

You can think of your life like this. The growing tip is the present moment - your lived experience of now - which gnaws into the future as it advances. The history of your life is the rest of the hypha, the blue lines that you've left in a tangled trail behind you. A mycelial network is a map of a fungus's recent history, and is a helpful reminder that all life forms are in fact processes, not things. The 'you of five years ago was made from different stuff than the 'you' of today.
This book made me think that getting infected with a cordyceps in The Last of Us wouldn't be the worst fate ever. 10/10.

I really enjoyed what I read so far, but I go through nonfiction books so slowly and now I haven’t touched it for months… I’ll try to finish before the end of the year :((

WOW! Powerful and eye opening. Very enjoyable read. I love how Sheldrake (also an extremely perfect name for a mycologist) writes this book in a very digestible way.
