One of the earliest MM romances I read as a late teen. I enjoyed this series so much.

I was worryng at one point that I wouldn't like this one as much as the others so far, but fears were unfounded!
Jonty's steadfastness is tested thoroughly by the roguish Jimmy with Orlando reacting in typically put upon mode, giving Jimmy more ammunition.
Humour with the play, especially Jonty being a tree and references to Bristol throughout.
The murder was another cold case and giving a sight into some of Bath's baths. Lots of suspects, lots to uncover on the victim and lots of scurrying by the boys.
Not so much Mr & Mrs Stewart - more by reference this time.
And the epilogue letters were brilliant - the same info to each recipient but given so totally differently, excellent view of each man.

July 1907, Orlando Coppersmith and Jonty Stewart, are on a working holiday to Bath. For Orlando to assess some old manuscripts to see whether the College would like to buy them, while Jonty hopes to finish his evaluation of a book of sonnets. But while visitng the baths at the House of Sulis, a Stewart family tradition they are asked by the owner Dr Buckner to investigate the death of a female some twenty-five years ago. But what of the threat to their own personal relationship.
An enjoyable well-written mystery

I like these books but my God can I have just ONE explicit sex scene? Like I do enjoy reading these books but like it's always just PG-13 and I want an NC-17 scene, just one.
