The sheer amount of time I took to read this 65 page collection (though to be fair it was in storage, away from me, for most of that time) goes to show my weak interest.
The writing is very good, often excellent. An intensity of word consciousness; you can tell she’s a poet right from the bat.
The content mostly surrounds unhappy marriages and older folk’s sex life. Not my thing. I enjoyed the magical realism strung throughout but nearly gone by the end.
