Take the warnings seriously. This is a lot, there is no kid gloves available when reading. You will want a shower after reading this.

This book is absolutely horrific. Although I was aware that this was an extreme horror, I went into this somewhat blind. The first half of the book is really quite horrible.... but I was alright reading it, i was repulsed and tense but it hadnt really upset me to this point.
Then, at about the halfway point, you are hit with a full page trigger warning, giving you the chance to stop reading before the book really gets into it.
I thought for, quite some time as to whether I should continue or not, curious as to how much worse it can get but also worried if i carried on I might end up with ptsd - (I will say, Im not usually easily scared/bothered by horror, however the situation set up in the first half is probably one of my worst nightmares) - and in the end my partner offered to read the next couple of chapters for me to see if the trigger warning was actually a serious warning..... it's completely serious. What follows is bad and it gets worse and worse.
My partner told me that I should not read the rest because he knew it would really upset me but we spoke about it and told me (in the least amount of detail possible)some of what he read..... I'm absolutely horrified!
I've since cried multiple times about this book and I'm glad I didn't carry on reading.
This book has made me pause on reading for a while and from now on I will do more research on an extreme horror before reading and also take trigger warnings seriously.
If you are bothered by sexual violence and are in any doubt about whether you should read this... or if you're thinking how bad can it get? It gets very bad, don't read it, it will upset you.

This book was a collection of trigger warnings in the worst way possible.  Needless to say I read through all it.

This was just disgusting. There’s no other way to put it. I get extreme horror and splatterpunk, but this is neither. It is clearly a cry for help from the author. I don’t know what kinda help is needed but some is required. I regret spending an hour on this book. I genuinely don’t know what posses someone to write something like this. I mean if just downright disgusting snuff books are your cup of tea then this takes the cake. But for us average joes, this is putrid. I don’t even want this on my self.

This is by far the worst book I’ve ever read. It is not good at all. Anyone who says otherwise needs serious help. While the writing is somewhat decent, the content is absolutely deranged and bring a bad reputation to horror as a genre. The writer should be on a watchlist somewhere, there’s no excuse for a fantasy such as this other than pure untapped (as far as I’m aware) evil.

On a less academic note, I had to hug my mom for an hour after reading this. Not in a funny “ha-ha this book should be a horror reading challenge” but in a serious “this triggered me in a way that antidepressants cannot combat” kind of way. Terrible. Can’t rate it low enough.
