5 Christmas Stars

I don't really care for Christmas themed books, but being that this one is a PPA book by Mina Carter, how could I say no? It has all the action and steamy romance that all the other PPA books have, plus it has a Claus elf. Not just any Claus elf, but the grandson of the big guy himself!! And the granddaughter of Rudolph. How can you go wrong with this book??

I have not read many of Ms. Carter's books, but I enjoyed this one. This was a first for me, the were-reindeer thing; but it worked.
Rudi is a tough bad-ass, but also still very womanly in emotions. She is tougher than I! lol
Nick, very dreamy!!
This was very well written and very enjoyable. I really need to get my butt in gear and read her other stories that I do already have then buy up some more!!
A wonderful read right before Christmas.

I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

What The Sleigh is the 10th book in Mina Carter's Paranormal Protection Agency series.
I haven't as yet, read any prior books in this series, however can honestly say that I enjoyed this story immensely. I have already bought the PPA #1-#5 box set and it is now at the top of my TBR pile.

This story follows Rudi, a were reindeer, suffering years of heartache and home sickness, as circumstances caused her to leave her home and life at the Pole, and joins the PPA. Nick Claus, a Claus elf descendent from the original Claus himself, was the one to break her heart and the reason she left. 5 years later, their lives collide once more as they are required to work along side one another when a gang starts targeting Santas grottos and start killing. Rudi and Nick must work undercover together to expose the gang and take them down before anyone else gets hurt. But can they put their shared history aside long enough to succeed.

I really loved Carter's interpretation of Christmas, the santas, reindeer, etc. Very imaginative and such an easy story to read and get into. Even though I have not read any other books in the series yet, this story can be read as a standalone and the reader can slip easily into the world Carter has created. I didn't realise that this was a short story/novella and was actually disappointed when I got to the end because it was over. A very cute story and can't wait to read the other stories now.
