Gia & Rhett’s Story

Gia comes off so strong and tough like nothing can get her down. But when she starts to have feeling for “human” she can’t /won’t let herself feel it. She feels like she has to keep everyone at arm’s length, until she is forced to see what is truly in her heart.

I just loved how Rhett stood up to her. Made her see what was right in front of her. He might have been a human but he was the man for her.

Great short for sure. I love Nicole’s take on vampires I think my only wish is for it to be or for a future book to be a full length novel. :) That would be icing on the cake!

Fabulous narration, I love the dual male/female it just brings that much more to a story and Wen and Kai do a fantastic job with these characters.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Shew! Gia and Rhett are hot, hot, hot, and listening to Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross as Gia and Rhett just adds to sexy fun. I liked Noah and Carissa from book one, but there's just something about this couple - maybe it was the push and pull between them, maybe it was the chemistry, maybe it was a bit of both. Either way, these two make for a great romance, and I love the way things happen between them. I also really like Gia's backstory. I won't spoil it, but I like the way Nicole Garcia tied it in to her feelings about relationships and trust.
There is a continuing story storyline from the first book, and things ramp up a bit here with a twist I didn't see coming and some action and danger for this coven of vampires. Nicole Garcia doesn't leave us with a cliffy, but there are some unanswered questions and the danger is still up in the air, so I'm interested to see where things go from here.
Of course, we can't talk about an audiobook without mentioning how much Kai and Wen add to anything they narrate. Don't get me wrong, Fallen is an entertaining read anyway, but these two always add that special something extra. I love the way they narrate and breathe life into the characters.
All in all, Fallen is a great addition to a fun series, and I can't wait to see what's next.
