Awfully written erotica trash that did nothing for the narrative and in essence clearly got traded in for character development.
The first was predictable and although cringey at times, was ok. This sequel notches that cringe level up higher and basically turns the MCs into stars of a bad rape fantasy porn… and still goes into high predictably territory.
Very little happens plot wise here because the author is too busy trying to put more awkward unwarranted sexual scenes. :( so disappointing.

Estrella and Caelum's story continues. This book really explores their relationship, and the meaning of their mate bond. The bulk of the book is spent developing their relationship both physically and mentally. There is a LOT of banging going on 🥵 Estrella also discovers she had magic, so there is a lot of development learning about it, and what that means for her in the future. The ending is a major cliffhanger that sets up big changes for book 3!
