For such a short book, it gives you much to think about. Very thought provoking in regards to capitalism & the society it is in symbiosis with where they perpetuate themselves. Solid read, which is perspective shifting. Recommend for everyone.

Outdated; everything the author was hopeful about at the time of this publication has only gotten worse in the 13 years since. The broadest points he makes were things that are obvious now - capitalism affects mental health and education; capitalism thrives on people who blame the government but don’t do anything, thinking their blame is enough. If only he could have known about the instagram-story activism to come in 2020…
If anything, I feel more strongly that the end of the world is more likely than the end of capitalism than before I picked up the book…

Way too many movie references and I’m not a movie buff at allllll
I liked some of the points the author talked about but maybe he could’ve developed them more before changing topics.
Maybe I’ll pick it up again after watching some of the movies lol

I am sorry to admit this, but the narrator's monotonous, dull voice just sucked out any meaning that I was trying to glean out of this book. I have about 50 books that I am very, very eager to read right now, so I just gave up on that, even though it might be a very valuable source of knowledge. No rating, as it would be unfair to judge the book by its narrator.
