I enjoyed reading Heartache Falls. The characters had charm and were personable. I could feel the happiness of Mac & Ali and their children. I saw the love and the pain of the disconnecting happening. As Ali headed off to try her hand at making a change in her life, I could feel the anger hurt and disappointment Ali and Mac were experiencing. The story felt "real" and I enjoyed it right to the end. The book was light reading and I would recommend it to most of my fellow readers.

After more than 20 years of marriage, 20 years of sacrificing her dreams in support of her husband's career, Ali finds herself alone and unsure of herself. After an argument with her husband she runs away to Eternity Springs where she begins to discover herself and rebuild her confidence.
Her husband Mac is angry at her leaving and has his own journey. He wants to be reconciled with his wife but before that is possible he needs to confront his troubled past and learn to accept and value his wife.

This is the 3rd in the ongoing Eternity Springs series and will appeal to fans of Robyn Carr and Sherryl Woods. If you enjoy this you might also like Summer in Sonoma (Robyn Carr) and Stealing Home (Sherryl Woods).

This was my favorite of the three that I have read so far. I loved Mac and Ali's relationship, because it showed the ups and downs of real life marriages. They both loved each other deeply, but had distanced from each other over time. They both overcome the obstacles in their marriage while in Eternity Springs and discovered each other again. In the process, they both found out they couldn't live without each other, and they found out how to make the second part of their marriage last and to start anew.

Enjoyable story about an older couple rediscovering their love and passion, not just for each other, but for life.
