Tucker and Sabrina

I enjoyed a lot of this book.

The gritty parts about poverty, classism at university, the icky stepdad and the sexist MIL, seemed realistic and relatable.

I enjoyed t  be e banter between the FMC and her BFs Hope and Acarina.

I don’t normally enjoy spicy college romances with pregnancies but this seemed to convey the challenges reasonably well. Without a big means of rescuing the main couple from the financial and familial problems.

"We're happy because we want to be, because we're pouring our energy and emotion into each other in the best possible way."

I would like to say that I sympathize with Sabrina's character. She really did go through a lot of trauma and would probably benefit from therapy. I wouldn't say I dislike her but I wouldn't say she's my favorite compared to the three other girls.

She was a bit frustrating as a character, and I can understand why. Tucker's character was also lost on me towards the end of the book. Not sure if I quite agree with the comments he was making about his baby. Also, completely lost me with the baby name too.

I feel like both these characters didn't really grow, and at times they still feel like they're in "lust" with each other.

Also did not need to relive the death of Beau again.

Usually pregnancy tropes are not my favorite types of books. However this one had me gripped. I think in a lot of ways I saw parts of my self in Sabrina and maybe that’s why I enjoyed it so much. Tucker is such a lovable character. Him and Sabrina are the stereotypical “black cat-golden retriever” and I’m such a sucker for that. Tucker is everything any girl could ever possibly dream of in a guy. This was a great way for the original 4 books of the Off Campus series to end.

Full transparency, surprise pregnancy tropes are not a favorite of mine, which only decreases when it happens to new adult characters. Because of this I was already skeptical going into this book. However Elle Kennedy did a great job addressing a serious issue with a not always mature age range.
She was able highlight the struggles and concerns the MFC was having without her losing her entire self

Was it my favorite book of the Series, No. But this was a good ending for the Briar Hockey Boys.
