Just writing a short and sweet review for this one. I really wanted to like it since I have heard so much about Anais Nin’s work, but it just didn’t work out for me. I thought some of the topics in these stories were a bit bizarre and others didn’t catch my interest. I may pick up one of her other books in the future to see if I connect with it more.

The are a couple of okay stories, one or two genuinly erotic moments, a few shocking ones but mostly I found it boring and I didn't bother finishing it.

This book is super messed up. You have to be a specific kind of person to enjoy it. In part, I can somewhat see the idea of sexual freedom or whatever, but it's kinda hard to root for it when the characters do really messed up and abusive things to children, animals, and other adults.
