My god, this book never gets old. It starts off right where book 2 ends, Alex is on his death bed and the Warden is loving every second of it. Alex is..... transformed and has to find a way to save himself and his friends. This book is extremely fast paced as after about a fourth of the book, it is non stop action.
The Good: Everything, seriously this book has so many good things about it that I can't list all of it without just spewing spoilers.
The Bad: Huge change of tempo and character in who the form of Alex, Alex is still the kid from the 2nd book but my oh my he is a different beast (no pun intended) in this book, and does have some points where there is crazy action then a small section of nothing happening but is not really noticeable.
Read this book, the first two might make this series look like a thriller of a group of small helpless kids, this book flips those thoughts on its head.
