I well and truly don't know how to feel about this one. Gwenpool was already the most meta character in the Marvel universe and this miniseries doubles down on the meta and then doubles down again. The plot-without-a-plot is bizarre to follow, but there are some great moments, and Gwen's undying sincerity as a character remains true. This is a strange one, but the creative team went big and weird, and I respect them going for it. Hopefully this signals much more Gwenpool to come.

This was my least favourite Gwenpool. Almost rated it 2 stars but the last third bumped it up to 3 stars.

upon a reread a few years later, the pop culture references don’t really hold up as well as when it first came out but overall this was still very fun

kind of hard to read once you have read the main series, this just destroys Gwen's character development but fun to read if you just completely forget about the unbelievable gwenpool series

"Ever since Gwen was handed a miniseries, she’s been doing everything possible to make the best of it. And that includes taking on some of the heavy hitters within Marvel. Gwenpool Strikes Back #4 brings fans all of the shenanigans, quirkiness, and charm that we’ve come to expect from this series.
So far, Gwen has been able to successfully pull characters like Spider-Man, Deadpool, the Fantastic Four, and Hulk into her series. And that’s just to name a few. And it’s all in the name of saving her series – and thus her life.
Gwenpool Strikes Back takes advantage of Gwenpool’s fourth-wall-breaking abilities, using them to open a discussion about her series future. In short, it’s a discussion about comic book sales and how dependent comic book characters can be on those rankings. At least, the smaller scale characters.
Gwenpool Strikes Back #4 has a few extra surprises up its sleeve, and fans of The Unbelievable Gwenpool are going to go bonkers over at least one of the surprises. Hint: look at the credits for this issue!"

Written by a problematic author so yea, it was messy and iffy. Plus while reading through it, it felt like the author didn't even read the previous series/ Also they tried to be relatable but it really didn't work. The only part I liked is when she said she would let Dinah Lance step on her because same

I really liked the original Gwenpool comic, but this was awful, it felt like Williams never read the original run or didn't get what made it work.
