I think maybe I need a break from Omegaverse. I almost dnf'd this but kept going because I love a good grovel (this one was okay). There was a lot of smexy times in this and not enough tension and relationship building. I honestly could not understand the FMC motivation to be with the guys. And also, fuck Marcus, I can't be fucked with him tbh. Do not understand the comparison to Pack Darling.

I wanted to be prey for someone who was worthy of that privilege, feel them prise me open, slam through my meagre shields, and fuck me raw. And when he looked at me like this, like I was some sort of precious idol and something to be sullied, all at the same time, it made me feel like that could happen.

Tropes:
Omega Verse
Reverse Harem
Fake Relationship

I thought this book was interesting. I always love omegaverse books. I was glad this one was a bit more on the sweet side. Sometimes they can be very dub/non con, which was not the case with this one. Not to say there wasn't dark themes or issues, but nothing with the harem.

I did find the writing style a bit confusing at times, it's written a bit like prose. It's not my favorite style of writing for romance novels, but I can see how some people may really like it. I liked the idea of there being a season of like coming out, like they did back in the regency days, but this is definitely modern day. I also enjoyed that poly relationships weren't really a think in this omega verse world, so they were sort of going against the grain and doing something different which was interesting to see.

I didn’t need an alpha to make all the decisions for me, to sacrifice themselves for my sake and keep me safe. I wanted love, protection, need, desire, knots that split me open and made me throb, and them. I needed them.

Lots of twists and turns in this book. Some stuff you saw coming, some not. The groveling in this book was on point. So good. When I was at about 80% I thought there was no way the plot was going to wrap up and that I was actually reading a series with the same characters and not a stand alone romance series, but it did manage to wrap up in that time, which I guess is good. I did think the relationship with one of the males was not as developed obviously as the others, I think really all of the relationships could have used a bit more time. I didn't really see the love yet between the harem, but the love between the original alphas was very well developed and sweet. And oh man, the heartbreak in this one! It was real. But a happy ending of course.

“Rhys will never say anything, wanting you to find your way to him. Brendan will follow on your heels like a little puppy, then order you to strip naked so he can lick you clean. Orion has his own baroque little plans, will try to stick to them as everything inside him screams for you, but me?”

What a wild ride! Good Girl by Sam Hall is one heck of an omegaverse story. The complexity of the it all is seriously something to behold.

The book is set in an alternate Earth, where everything is the same, except everyone is either an alpha, beta, or omega. Think wolf shifters but without the shifting. I really liked the contemporary setting of this.

We follow Cyn on her journey to find an alpha mate. She revealed as an omega, and let's just say it wasn't always the easiest for her. In come Orion, Brendan, Rhys, and Marcus. One mate? Let's give you four.

Grab your favorite drink and snacks, and settle in for this book. The intricately woven web of a plot will keep you on your toes wondering what is going to happen next. Sam Hall did a splendid job writing this book. Don't worry, all will be revealed at the end of the book. No cliffhanger and has an HEA.

I love the Brigerton vibes to this baby. 😩🤭💋

First of all, besides the fact this is obviously a romance-first and plot-second kind of book- this was such an interesting read. Just straight up so... real? The characters weren't perfect, they just seemed so human to me that I loved it even more.
Also, the way they all interact with each other is just SO RAW.

First of all, I want to take a moment to appreciate Rhys. Big teddy bear men that fall to their knees in despair are apparently my weakness. Now obviously Megamind *cough* Marcus *cough* was on my shit list the entire book- yet even then I would totally let that man do unspeakable things to me.
Cyn was so strong through it all, I just wanna hug her.

The ending did feel kind of rushed and not all that well wrapped up, but since it's a series that makes sense.

All in all a good book (warning: don't read to relax. it got me wanting to smash my kindle and shit...)

“what happened…to the original plot of the movie??”

is what i was thinking the entire time. book sets up a fmc that is determined to be stronger than her designation and fight against societal standards…and then completely 180s into some meek pushover dictated by her lady bits.

also, the writing was both over detailed and wordy to the point of me skimming most of it yet somehow not detailed enough for the things that mattered, like the other guys backstory or character traits.
