Completely charming. I read this after multiple viewings of the TV show, so the Americanized English translation seems a bit weird...in my brain, Secretary Kim is Kim Miso, but in the translation she is Miso Kim. Nevertheless, I can't wait for Vol. 2!

A lovely surprise to find this volume is in full color, but otherwise fairly lack luster for me. We're clearly heading towards some kind of childhood mystery for Miss Kim, but it's just too heavy handed. Fun, just not for me I think.

Reading What's Wrong with Secretary Kim felt very nostalgic. I remember watching the Kdrama when it first came out and remembered how funny and charming the actors/actresses were, and seeing them in manhwa form didn't disappoint. Miso and Youngjun are as funny and charming as I remember, and I could also feel their charisma as a pairing right off the bat. Seeing as the Kdrama didn't delve too far into Miso's and Youngjun's background (at least from what I remember) I'm hoping that future volumes will go into more detail, and I also hope to see more funny moments from the couple as well. I don't have too many bad things to say as each lead has their own quirk that I love, but Youngjun's personality, in the beginning, was still such a bore to read as I'm not into egotistical men in my romance books. However, as I have watched the drama, I know I'm in for good ass character development.

Can't wait for volume 2!

Miso Kim has been an above and beyond, absolutely stellar secretary to vice-chairman Youngjun Lee for nine years now. She’s been reliably at his side for everything.

So, when she up and quits, Youngjun is understandably caught off guard (I.e. devastated).

Hasn’t he provided her with everything she could need? Why would she quit?

After pestering her about it nonstop, Miso finally reveals that she’d like to focus more on her personal life, particularly on getting married.

It’s shocking news to the vice-chairman. But, if Miso wants to get married, Youngjun is prepared to present himself as the most eligible candidate—whatever it takes to get her to stay!

So, this is absolutely delightful on every level!

From the premise to the central characters, everything is so well-contrived. I so appreciate the back-and-forth dynamic that our central characters have—it’s so enjoyable to read. Honestly, is there anything better than a clueless duo that don’t know they’re in love with each other?

More, this whole story is just so funny. I absolutely love the humor. This manhwa really feels like a romcom.

Definitely recommend and I cannot wait to read more! This is a great choice for readers who enjoy romcoms and are looking to dip their toes into manhwa~
