everything about this book storywise was PERFECT. from a multigenerational curse, the history of the family, and a big bad witch to defeat, to a haunted manor with a plethora of endearing ghosts, to the mystery of the brides, and why they were cursed, and the spooky but enchanting way it draws you in. All of this was perfect, and I even like the main characters, Sonya and Cleo - 2 bad ass women in the creative field who don’t take ish from anyone. now.. what I could do without is the pages upon pages of long winded dialogue about things that didn’t even pertain to the story, and we focused so much on Sonya’s work and going into detail about her projects, we want to hear about the spooky mansion!! Not her graphic design! this book was SO LONG because of that, and I also don’t really care for the half baked romance. Other than that, I of course will be reading the next one, because FINALLY we have a cliffhanger with the turning point!

The book sets the goals and questions for this series: to find out more about the inheritance and the curse, and how to stop the curse from continuing. Even if
we get a suggested solution
and the supernatural keeps getting grander, the ending feels a little unsatisfying with how much is still unanswered. The ending is a cliffhanger of sorts: you'll know something BIG is happening, but it's only just starting now.

A mystery and a romance and some paranormal activity, Nora Roberts has done it again! I love her books that she blends the past with the present. I do have to say that I'm bummed that I have to wait so long for the next one.

A great start to the series, and that ending! The only downside is I have to wait for the next one. The pace is definitely very slow, and while I didn't enjoy the beginning of the book all that much, the ending more than made up for it. Once the MC got to the house, the story, while still slow, became more enjoyable. I loved the variety of ghosts and the quirkiness of them. I love the dark aspect and the mystery along with the family history. Having a great house and adorable dogs always adds to a story, at least for me. I can't wait to see what happens and get to enjoy more of the characters.

This. Book. Is. AMAZING.
The character building at the beginning was fast and furious. {WOW.}
The inheritance portion was smooth and quick. {Exciting!}
Getting to know the house and it's quirks - OUTSTANDING.
And now I have to wait for books 2 and 3!?

Lord help me, I am glad that I purchased this one so that I have it for rereads. I am assuming there will be a few in my future to catch anything I missed in the first round!

In Nora Robertas’ Inheritance, main character Sonya MacTavish inheritance a haunted and cursed mansion from an unknown uncle. As Sonya navigates the good and evil haunters of the mansion, she learns more about the curse involving brides from each generation of Pooles.

I found the book lacking in plot and character growth. The storyline was intriguing, but there wasn’t a twist nor major challenge to overcome until the last 5 minutes of the audiobook. Despite this, I am interested in reading the second book in the series. I found the characters loveable and want to see a happy ending for them all.

First off thank you to St. Martin’s Press and netgalley for the advanced copy.

I was hooked to the story at the beginning. It starts off with a bang. This story goes between the past and the present. In the beginning we meet one of the brides and her tragic end. Then we go to the present where we meet Sonja and oh boy. Nora Roberts sure knows how to hook her readers. This is my first book by her.

I really enjoyed the paranormal aspects of this book. I did feel like there were some plot holes in the story though. If you’re a fan of slow burns and paranormal you might enjoy this book! It has some sweet dogs in it which I enjoyed as well. I felt like the romance parts were a little unbelievable though and kind of weird at some parts, but overall I enjoyed the story.

I just reviewed Inheritance by Nora Roberts. #NetGalley
