This book was really amazing...this is all about two siblings fighting each other. And at the end of the story the two siblings, they are already getting along...

Fourth-grader Evan Treski is people-smart. He’s good at talking with people, even grownups. His younger sister, Jessie, on the other hand, is math-smart, but not especially good with people. So when the siblings’ lemonade stand war begins, there really is no telling who will win—or even if their fight will ever end. Brimming with savvy marketing tips for making money at any business, definitions of business terms, charts, diagrams, and even math problems, this fresh, funny, emotionally charged novel subtly explores how arguments can escalate beyond anyone’s intent.

This book was great! This story was your anger will slowly fade away, if you work things out. It was nicely written, I love the characters, and the end of the story.

Two siblings engage in a lemonade war to see who can earn the most money before school starts. There are some tensions between the two who have seemingly had a good relationship in the past. This is a nice realistic fiction story for middle grades. There is enough humor and suspense to keep the readers interest.

A really great story about siblings and how they miscommunicate and turn everything into something bigger than it really is. Evan and Jessie remind me a lot of my own two children, they share a special bond of love and friendship, but they also have their moments when they get upset with one another. I also really enjoyed how the author made selling lemonade a very profitable venture. Something I know my son knows all about.

This is a fun book for middle grade readers that teaches some simple tips for improving business sales. The book also demonstrates how mathematics is used in everyday life by outlining the steps for computing sales and profit. The story centers on a sibling lemonade sale competition, hence the title: The Lemonade War. This would be a good book to read in a 3rd or 4th grade math class where students participate by doing business calculations of their own as the story progresses.

Cute story. I loved how economic terms were incorporated into the novel. I definitely learned something, but never felt preached at. My one small-ish complaint:
SpoilerI would have like to see Scott (Evan's not-so-nice friend) get some comeuppance in the end. How the heck did he get away with stealing that much money?

7.22: Listened to the audiobook with my kids. They both liked it quite a bit. They wanted to have a lemonade stand the day after we finished the book, and we were all able to borrow from the terms used in the book to talk about the best ways to run our stand. That was pretty cool.
