Y’all. Stop what you’re doing and pick up this stunner from @aliciabooks! It’s a romance, yes, and it’s hot, yes! 🔥 BUT ALSO: Alicia takes such care writing about a bisexual MC, dealing with religious bigotry from parents, having been in foster care, and creating your own found family. ❤️❤️❤️ This book is seriously so good everybody should be reading it. I was so so so rooting for Asa and Lauren. 💕

Asa is my chaotic soft bi king and I would die for him!!!

Also I loved this book. There were so many tropes (although there were also several cliches that usually make me mad, but I liked this book so I much I mostly overlooked them)

This is a great example of a romance that does MORE. It handles some pretty heavy, real stuff, but does it well. I liked Asa and Lauren and was rooting for them all along the way

Absolutely lovely! The romance was adorable and well-written, complete with solid communication, fantastic character development, and even (mostly) lovable side characters. I flew through this one, and I can honestly say I'll keep reading Alicia Thompson's romances.

I had this on hold for months and I was trying to figure out why the whole time! But then I read the acknowledgments and saw all of my favorite romance authors' names listed and realized they must have all recommended it, and for good reason!

Asa and Lauren's romance was quick-paced and easy to read, with lovable main and side characters. I really enjoyed both of their emotional journeys, and I appreciate that Thompson didn't write a

happy reunion with Asa's parents

; I like authors that choose the hard journeys to represent, even in romance novels. I also loved the Harry Potter slam, especially when so many authors are still making their characters big fans despite her TERF opinions. 

I haven't read Thompson's first but clearly I need to!
