Drawn Blue Lines by Cora Kenborn is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stacy Gonzalez and Alan Carlson.
This is the third book in the Carrera Cartel Trilogy and each book can be read as standalone. However, for maximum enjoyment, it's recommended that you read them in order.
I absolutely love Cora's books! I was hooked from the very beginning and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Adriana and Brody. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Stacy and Alan did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend his book to anyone who loves mafia/cartel romances, dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romances, or romantic suspense.

The backstory to this enemies to lovers story is heartbreaking. Adriana’s life is upended and completely unraveled by a devastating secret - one she blames Brody for revealing. And now she wants her revenge, and her rightful place in the Carerra cartel - no easy task on either front. Brody’s life has spiraled out of control recently, and he finds his only solace at the bottom of a bottle, until he meets Adriana. Except she’s the enemy, and more than that, she’s forbidden fruit. But they are forced to work together to prove their loyalty to the Cartel and take care of the threats that have been looming from an unknown enemy to them all.
Their banter is excellent, snarky and sexy. Adriana is no stranger to the cartel life, she’s a complete bada$$ in her own right, and she doesn’t let Brody forget it. And Brody, despite his recent lieutenant status in the Carrera cartel, is completely dejected and miserable - his inner dialog as he grapples with his feelings for Adriana is quite amusing at times. And their explosive chemistry, when they finally can’t fight it anymore, well, it’s definitely highly charged. Despite their apparent hate for each other, they develop a strong bond that neither of them realizes until it’s too late, and there’s no going back. There’s deep passion - of every kind, and they sizzle together.
The narration is excellent. Stacy Gonzalez is perfect as Adriana — she has the absolute right voice for the character. And Alan Carlson brings Brody and all his turbulent emotions to life beautifully.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Drawn Blue Lines is the third book in the Carrera Cartel series and can be read as a standalone. That being said, I am not usually one who reads books out of order in a series. I feel like I am always missing pieces of the story, even when it’s a standalone novel. The same thing goes for this one. Although Brody and Adriana’s story is their own, I felt like I was missing things out of their backstory that would have helped me with this novel that much more.
I am planning on going back and reading the first two books in the series because I don’t like having missing pieces.
Brody and Adriana are two sparks that do nothing but ignite when they come together. The tension between them is undeniable and full blown HOT! The banter and dynamic between these two characters has you on the edge of your seat, wanting them to just take it to the next level already because it was just that UNDENIABLE!
When they do finally admit to themselves and each other how they feel, its so hot that the fire that comes from them is as hot as molten lava. The BEAUTIFUL chemistry between them makes it so much hotter.
If you do decide to dive in to this book, I would suggest reading the first two books but you don’t have to. This is a personal preference on my part but I really feel as though their story will be that much hotter and intense than it already is!
